NBC

The All Star Race on NBC is a fan favourite, but there are some criticisms about the racing. One complaint is that television racing is not as exciting. The All-Star Race used to be held at Charlotte's intermediate oval, but the event will now take place at Bristol Motor Speedway's short track. Though this short track hasn't been the All-Star Race's traditional home, the short track at Bristol Motor Speedway has long been a fan favorite. The problem is not so much with the racetrack, however. NASCAR aims to address the issues that are affecting NASCAR.

Preview laps of each track have always been part of the race broadcast on NBC. The preview laps are hosted by former driver Jeff Burton, who explains the nuances of each track. NBC also gets involved with the drivers and prepares special segments before each race. For the Southern 500, NBC produced special segments in 2017. In this segment, four different eras of cars drove together around the track.
