These events are held over Memorial Day weekend, and the Bank of America Roval600. On weekends not reserved for racing, the track hosts concerts or other events.


Since 1960, the public venue has been host to NASCAR races. The track includes a drag strip and a road track. It also features an oval with 17 turns. It also used to host the United States Grand Prix. The track is approximately six miles from downtown Indianapolis. You can visit the speedway today during regular business hours. There are also tours available.

After a long tradition, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway underwent a major transformation. Tony George (grandson of Tony Hulman), is the new president.
