The NASCAR All Star Race is set to air on FS1 this Saturday, and it is set to feature a $1 million grand prize for the winner. This event is made for television and the winners will not be eligible to earn Cup Chase points. However, it is a must-see Saturday evening primetime event. Jimmie Johnson, NASCAR's superstar driver, has won the All Star Race four times.

FOX Sports

FOX Sports will broadcast the NASCAR All-Star Race Sunday at 3pm ET. This event features the best drivers around the world racing in one race. Each driver is selected via fan vote and the winner starts at front of the grid. This special event also features pit stops, where each driver must take four tires during the race.

Fox Sports will show the NASCAR All-Star Race. All three winners are guaranteed a front-row position in the final race. The race is divided into four stages. In the first stage the winner has a test-run in a car built for that race class. The second stage will see the top three finishers qualify for the final race.

NBC

While the All Star Race broadcast by NBC is a favorite among fans, there are some concerns about the racing. One major complaint is the lack of excitement in the racing on the TV show. In the past the All-Star Race was held at Charlotte's intermediate oval. But this year the event will be moved to Bristol Motor Speedway. Though this short track hasn't been the All-Star Race's traditional home, the short track at Bristol Motor Speedway has long been a fan favorite. The problem isn’t so much with Bristol Motor Speedway. NASCAR is instead trying to solve the problems that affect the race.

Preview laps have been a feature of the race on NBC since its inception. Jeff Burton, a former driver, hosts the preview laps and explains all about each track. NBC also prepares special segments for each race and gets involved with drivers. In 2017, NBC filmed special segments about the Southern 500 in which cars from four different eras raced around the track together.
