RoushFenway Keselowski racing won their first race since Denny Hamlin 2006, when they had two consecutive losses. Buescher won the race for Front Row Motorsports' first time since 2006. Front Row Motorsports had been unsuccessful in two previous races.

Cindric occupied the top lane. Allgaier was ahead of Gragson at the time of the caution. Cindric seized the lane and cleared them. Cindric then passed Gragson after they made contact.
