NASCAR adds Mexican-Born Drivers to Cup Series

NASCAR has confirmed that Daniel Suarez, a Mexican-born driver, will compete in the Cup Series race series in 2021. The Mexican-born driver will join Trackhouse Racing, which has been formed by Justin Marks, a former NASCAR driver who also co-owned the K&N Pro Series West team. The ECR engines and technical alliance will allow the team to operate with Richard Childress Racing. The team will also operate in the Richard Childress Racing shop in Welcome North Carolina.

Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Daniel Suarez first got involved with motorsports at an early age. His family started him karting as an amusement, but he soon discovered the thrill of racing. He was hooked on the sport and started training full-time. Soon, he was a Mexican national karting champion. In 2004, he participated in the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals as well as an Italian competition.
